Opened by John Fisher in May 2000, the
Fisher Studio & Gallery in Pittenweem is now in its 12th year. It
shows work by a wide range of contemporary painters and applied
artists,
most of whom work in Scotland. While the majority of the exhibiting
artists are well established and popular with collectors, the gallery
also encourages young talented artists.
Most of the exhibitions feature work by the resident artist Jan
Fisher with paintings and drawings of the coast and landscape of
the British Isles. She works in oil, watercolour, pencil
and acrylic.
The gallery publishes a comprehensive selection of local
views from Jan and Anna Fisher's paintings,
as limited edition giclee
prints.
